For gardeners it pays to be humble. Volunteers had removed all the camas in autumn, since it was high-maintenance and got weedy. The many hundreds of bulbs were dug up and given away. --Or, we thought we had removed them all. In spring, the area was a flourishing camas field again! Photo May 15, 2023.
