Mosses
Oregon beaked moss, Kindbergia oregana, grows in lowland NW forests, forming loose mats on trees, stumps, rocks, and humus--it's one of the most common mosses in our area. Each yellowish-green plant has evenly spaced branching and is flat, somewhat resembling a fern or a tiny feather.
